Rojak Sauce, Apple Jambu, Avocado @ Tapah Highway Stop
We bought this Mak Bee Rojak Sauce from the Tapah Highway Stop, from Fruit Stall No.5. There are lots of stall selling local fruits with aggressive sales lady greeting and asked us to buy fruits. At first we just stop there for washroom facilities, end up, we bought a packet of Sweet & Juicy Red Jambu, Rojak paste (recommended by sales lady) and new species of fruit, name called Apple Jambu. The Apple Jambu bigger size then the Fuji Apple, color in sharp Green & Pinky Red, same like highlighter (pen) ! hahaha.....
When on the way back to Penang, we decided to drop at the Tapah Highway Stop again. And look for Stall No.5 and luckily they are close after 10pm. So, we went to the next stall and look for fruit. You know why i said luckily? we found out that the so call "Apple Jambu" is only a big size jambu with lots of seeds inside, skin off and cured in green or red coloring only from the next stall! We've been cheated because they said is a new species of fruit. WTF
You guess what we found in fruits stall? is Avocado! it is locally grown and its a different species compare with the imported Avocado that we can easily find in the supermarket. Local grown Avocado is round in shape, size bigger then a tennis ball. We really look forward to taste it when it turns brown in color (matured).
Come back to the Rojak Sauce, it is very tasty! Spicy, a bit of Balacan taste, lots of coarsely ground peanut with un-melted sugar crunching in the mouth....ooolala....so satisfying
The best way to taste is put it in the fridge and lets make the Rojakkk...
